New clients and single, one-off projects require 50% payment upfront. The balance is due on completion. 30-day terms are strictly for regular clients.
I retain ownership and copyright of content or other marketing activities carried out on your behalf until full payment has been received.
Following payment, I may use the content (in full or part) or reference other marketing activities on this site to showcase my portfolio, including your logo unless otherwise agreed.
All copy/content includes two rounds of revisions as long as those revisions are within the pre-agreed brief. Additional fees will apply if you decide to change direction or the scope of the brief once work has begun.
Cancellations after commencement will incur a charge of 50% of the agreed fee. If you cancel after the first draft has been submitted, the full fee will be charged.
Communication is important throughout. I take my time, and that of clients, seriously. I don’t deliver late and if ever unforeseen circumstances did occur, I would inform you immediately. You can then cancel and receive a refund on any monies paid or we can
On completion of the first draft, if I don’t receive any feedback/response from you within 14 days (unless discussed prior) I will assume the project to be completed and will issue an invoice in full. The same applies if you repeatedly don’t respond to requests for information. A copywriter can’t help you if you aren’t willing to provide the detail.
Late payments incur a charge of 10%; non-payments (over 60 days) are automatically passed on to a debt recovery agency which attracts additional costs.
I work remotely; I don’t offer in-house work. However, I’m happy to attend on-site meetings when needed to complete the project. A fee will be charged for attendance (see day rates) and travel time, along with the cost of travel.
All fees and requirements for the project will be agreed prior to commencement to ensure that we are both on the same page.
